I love having a beater DD, normally it’s old and a bit unreliable but cheap. I would personally jump on them bringing back their classic Datsun’s with only basic 21st century upgrades. Keep it cheap, keep it simple, keep it reliable.
Other gear heads, would you buy a new car for $3000 as a DD or frankenstein project?
Been a while, I know this is a Subaru page, but I’m also a Datsun fan (I own a 240z), and I am very excited to see something like this come back. Subaru BRZ is probably the closest thing to a modern 240z and I love an affordable, light, and sporty RWD car.
